I remember way back when l first started school and the teacher gave us some magical seeds that didn't need earth just a few days and some water . These little sprouts which we grew, we could then eat. Later in life l started to notice these sprouts in the food stores. l thought do people actually eat these aren't they just for kids . Well little did l know . Germinated seeds or otherwise known as baby plants are full of nutrients .

Today lm looking at Broccoli sprouts. These are an easy and cheap way to add a powerhouse of nutrients to your meal and your dog's meal.

These are 3-5 day old plants, you can eat then raw or cooked in many ways .

If you freeze broccoli sprouts it increases the sulforaphane. Sulforaphane neutralizes toxins . Phytochemicals like sulforaphane are antioxidants that cancel out free radicals.

In these times where food is hard to get and expensive . Some people want to feed themselves, their families and their pets the best they can. Trying to buy fresh and unprocessed but often on a strict budget . Growing your own food if you have the space is beneficial. I often feel if we could only give people a little space to grow some foods we could all be a bit healthier. Using herbs like nettles and dandelions if they grow wild where you live (not highly sprayes with pesticides). Try picking wild blueberries if you have that option . Go
